NFL Slimetime debuted on the Nickelodeon channel in the fall of 2021. As a relatively new show with an unconventional format for Nick β live, telecast-style footage paired with host commentary β we needed to introduce the show concept to our young audience and their families, as well as highlight the unique nature of the program.Β
To drive linear tune-in and encourage audience engagement, the social promotion strategy focused on quick, clip-based highlight reels from the program itself, as well as gamified posts with popular IP. In addition, we supplemented regular weekly posts with on-the-ground, responsive social content to the NFL action as it happened.
